How do I submit a calendar item?
Event organizers and musicians are welcome to submit their listings to PennLive.com in a variety of ways. We offer forms (listed below) for users to submit events or music listings. You may also fax your submission to: (717)540-2064 or mail it to: PennLive.com Events Calendar, 2405 Park Drive, Suite 201, Harrisburg, PA, 17110. Only local listings will be accepted. We ask that the event be submitted at least two weeks prior to its date.

How do I submit a wedding or engagement announcement to The Patriot-News?
The Patriot-News offers a printable form for you to submit wedding and engagement announcements. We do not offer an online form for you to do so, since each submission requires confirmation from the newspaper. What is the procedure to link to a story on PennLive.com?
PennLive.com does not give permission for other sites to directly post content from PennLive.com onto their Web sites. However, we do allow most sites to link directly to the content on PennLive.com. How do I obtain permission to reprint a Patriot-News story?
Before reprinting anything from The Patriot-News, you must first obtain permission because U.S. copyright law protects all material in The Patriot-News. The Patriot-News cannot grant reprint permission for news service stories, stories from other newspapers or syndicated material, which it buys for one-time use from others. It can, however, grant reprint permission for stories created by its staff and its freelancers. Those stories can be easily identified because they nearly always carry the name of the author and the title "staff writer" or "contributing writer."

In your letter, identify the stories you'd like permission to reprint by giving the headlines and the dates they appeared, a description of the nature of your reprint and its purpose, a general description of your reprint's audience and the approximate number of copies you intend to distribute. If permission is granted, you will be sent a permission agreement to sign and return. It describes what you may or may not do with Patriot-News material and how to credit The Patriot-News. When you return the signed agreement, you will be sent a permission letter.
