by
Michael Sedor/PennLive.com
Monday October 13, 2008, 9:00 AM
The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza at the 2008 New England Metal FestSure, the name of the Agents of Chaos 2008 Tour headliner is The Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza but the etched-in goofy smile of the former Who's the Boss and Taxi star will not be there.
He is presumably in Singapore filming the fourth season of the boxing reality show The Contender and, again presumably, he does not play in a mathcore band.

by
Ryan Cohick/PennLive.com
Monday October 13, 2008, 6:18 AM

It started as an idea for a high school talent show. Now Recycled Percussion boasts a "junk rock" power percussion show, complete with a beat box session, an explosive stage show and the most important, plastic buckets. If you're wondering what the plastic buckets are for, lead drummers Justin Spencer and Ryan Vezina will surely show you. Todd Griffin (DJ) and Jim Magoon (electric guitar) complete the four-man traveling show, which hits the Luhrs Center at Shippensburg University this Tuesday at 8:00 pm. Tickets are $20 and $17.

by PennLive editorial

Harry Treadaway and Saoirse Ronan in Fox Walden's 'City of Ember'(AP) - Life in a post-apocalyptic world is not a new film theme. Humans have dug themselves out of the ashes in movies from "Logan's Run" to "A Boy and His Dog." The only difference is how deep society has been buried.

by MARY O. BRADLEY, The Patriot-News

More teenagers are carpooling to save money on gas.The downturn in the economy is affecting all ages, including teenagers. Local students are economizing by carpooling, riding the bus, sharing the cost of gasoline and thinking twice about buying that latest DVD.
Bobby Burgard, a Mechanicsburg Area Senior High School junior, said teens "are a little more stingy on how much money they spend. When they go to the mall, I think they don't spend too much money. People are waiting a little bit longer to buy things. It's not spur of the moment."

by PennLive editorial

Leonardo DiCaprio and Golshifte Farahani in Warner Bros. Pictures' 'Body of Lies'(AP) - In "Body of Lies," Ridley Scott's fascinating and flawed spy thriller about a soulless CIA technocrat (Russell Crowe) pulling the chains of field agents in the Middle East, Leonardo DiCaprio furnishes the soul.

by Michael Sedor/PennLive.com
Friday October 10, 2008, 12:46 PM
The Blastmaster KRS-One live on stage.Well, 1999's canonical Ego Trip's Book of Rap Lists anointed KRS-One as the Muhammad Ali of emcees and I am not one to argue.
The Boogie Down Productions founding member who once boasted "I am hip-hop" returns to Harrisburg's Dragonfly Club on Saturday. Doors open at 9:00 p.m. Show scheduled to start at 10:30 p.m.
Don't act like you don't know.
Learn from the Teacher and proceed straight to class.
