    by Ryan Cohick/PennLive.com
    Monday October 13, 2008, 6:18 AM

It started as an idea for a high school talent show. Now Recycled Percussion boasts a "junk rock" power percussion show, complete with a beat box session, an explosive stage show and the most important, plastic buckets. If you're wondering what the plastic buckets are for, lead drummers Justin Spencer and Ryan Vezina will surely show you. Todd Griffin (DJ) and Jim Magoon (electric guitar) complete the four-man traveling show, which hits the Luhrs Center at Shippensburg University this Tuesday at 8:00 pm. Tickets are $20 and $17.

Harry Treadaway and Saoirse Ronan in Fox Walden's 'City of Ember'

(AP) - Life in a post-apocalyptic world is not a new film theme. Humans have dug themselves out of the ashes in movies from "Logan's Run" to "A Boy and His Dog." The only difference is how deep society has been buried.

Teenagers are carpooling to save gasoline

by MARY O. BRADLEY, The Patriot-News
    Sunday October 12, 2008, 4:00 AM

More teenagers are carpooling to save money on gas.

The downturn in the economy is affecting all ages, including teenagers. Local students are economizing by carpooling, riding the bus, sharing the cost of gasoline and thinking twice about buying that latest DVD.

Leonardo DiCaprio and Golshifte Farahani in Warner Bros. Pictures' 'Body of Lies'
