    Harrisburg Stampede look ahead to next year

    Despite a 4-9 record and a rough year at the gate, the first-year Harrisburg Stampede are planning to return next season. Pat Kerwin, executive director of the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex and Expo Center, said earlier this week that plans are already in the works with the Stampede for rebooking the arena for next season.  Full story »

    Dawson leaves Stampede

    Following the May 2 AIFA game against visiting Baltimore, wide receiver/kick returner Dave Dawson felt it was time for him to make a change. The former Bishop McDevitt and University of Buffalo standout decided to leave the Harrisburg Stampede and focus his time on his business - Elite Fitness and Sports Performance - in Camp Hill and his family.  Full story »

    Stampede head coach leaves team

    The Harrisburg Stampede announced that head coach Mike "Mac" McDonald has left the team because of personal reasons. According to Stampede owner John Morris, McDonald needed time away to deal with family matters. McDonald wasn't with the team in Saturday's 54-44 loss to Erie.     There will be another starting quarterback this week for the Harrisburg Stampede. Former Columbus (Ga.) rookie signal-caller Bill Ashburn was signed by Harrisburg, which also released former starter A.J. Roque Wednesday before practice.     Being an expansion indoor football team, the Harrisburg Stampede wanted to give their fans something to buzz about in their home opener Saturday night. Mission accomplished.
