Community giving
The Dallas-based Mary Kay Ash Charitable Foundation has chosen the Domestic Violence Services of Cumberland & Perry Counties shelter in Carlisle to receive part of a $3 million grant. The $3 million will be evenly dispersed to domestic violence shelters in all 50 states. It comes at a time when donations are down and expenses are up in an economic downturn.
