    Community giving
    The Dallas-based Mary Kay Ash Charitable Foundation has chosen the Domestic Violence Services of Cumberland & Perry Counties shelter in Carlisle to receive part of a $3 million grant. The $3 million will be evenly dispersed to domestic violence shelters in all 50 states. It comes at a time when donations are down and expenses are up in an economic downturn.

    Willow Terrace offers nursing practice
    Residents of Willow Terrace in Lebanon are getting special attention from nursing students in an innovative program that began last month in cooperation with Lancaster General College of Nursing and Health Sciences.
